Uttar Pradesh may be reorganised into four separate states—Purvanchal, Madhyanchal, Bundelkhand, and Harit Pradesh. Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar has spoken in support of dividing the state, arguing that smaller administrative units could improve governance and development. The proposal remains a political and administrative matter, with its implementation depending on constitutional procedures, political decisions, and approval from the Union government and Parliament.
