The unexpected low rains and trauma.
The scorching sunlight and heat waves across India, have created havoc for everyone. People are pressurized and pained due to such circumstances because of heat. From dehydration to sweat, from juices to air conditioners. People are demanding facilities based on their requirements as per the climatic conditions.
The major issues are farmers being affected due to less rainfall and droughts across various parts of the country. It has happened after 146 years, with June being so dry, with 40% less compared to previous years. The states like Uttar Pradesh and Bihar have had severe water shortages for the crops and in Maharashtra cotton and soya have dried up. A few states, like Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh have also been impacted.
The major reasons for less rainfall
* The El Niño effect, which is happening in the pacific oceans, and it has turned extremely warm in the middle of the ocean.
* Massive rain clouds which used to move across the earth slowly have not been happening, which delayed the rainfall.
* To get rain, you need strong sea winds to push air onto the dry land.
* The Indian Ocean is calm and normal without heating up like before.
The government of India has selected 111 districts across India which have been struggling for water resources, food prices, and water supply. These climatic and environmental changes need quick measures to deal with global warming from glaciers, water resources and rainfall issues.
The overall this year the economy would drop and the impact on food resources and cultivation of crops are being investigated. Especially the farmers who have taken massive loans and are eagerly waiting for crops, have taken a diversion to crops which are not seasonal or stopped due to massive water shortage, the Union Minister of Agriculture has told the media that farmers have to cultivate crops which consume less water this time.
