The major criticism from the public on E20 is
*Is ethanol going to damage our engines and vehicles?
Few people say it would react with rust. Vehicles which are before 2023, where Ethanols cannot work in those vehicles which are not BS6.
* Few studies have found 7% mileage reduction in vehicles and rumors have occurred about people calling for 20 % ethanol and few say 50% or 100%.
* It would reduce the challenges for the government to import and the burden on people for use of ethanol. In case of damage, there won't be any compensation.
* No Proper facts and reasons are mentioned in public domain.
* Major viral content which is trending on the internet is cabinet minister Nitin Gadkari's son. They both have companies which are doing business with ethanol-based products. The price skyrocketed overnight with a high rise in shares.
* Yes, as resources are vanishing and decreasing with time. We need new and modern needs, but is ethanol production that easy?
* The amount of water, sugar cane and maize which will be used is a natural process but the process of making it is highly polluted and factories are also in the red zone according to ecology.
* If we start using ethanol, what about the food we should cultivate? Will the water requirement be enough?
The media, words and statements are good.

The major question in public opinion is why the government is not able to provide proper information and facts regarding ethanol.
The government has to clear all the doubts and confusions on ethanol use clearly.
