Japanese company Takeda’s Qdenga is the first dengue vaccine approved in India. It was cleared by India's drug regulator for people aged 4 to 60 years. The vaccine protects against all four types of the dengue virus. It is given in two doses, three months apart. Takeda plans to make the vaccine available in India in 2027.
