When life is unfair and starts teaching you hard lessons in early life. Imagine father's death at the age of 6, how painful and traumatic it would be. His mother started working and as the eldest child of the house, responsibilities were over his head. At the age of 10 he started working as a worker on farms, feeding animals. His mother remarried, and his stepfather never liked Harland David Sanders, which made him break away with her mother. He stayed with his relatives but was later removed from school and, at the age of 16, he joined the army, but later he was removed due to age fraud.

As time healed him and one opportunity he got after years of failures, which gave him momentum in life. One of his friends gave him a permit to run a gas station, as it was in financial loss. Quickly, he took the action to deal with the gas station and his life situation had no other option either. The gas station was profitable after 9 months, with happy days of his life having begun. Again, this time, it was not personal, but the country was facing the Great depression and the prices of oil had increased due to the economic crisis in the USA. Harland Sanders was used to pain and failures, but he never gave up. Once the economy was back on track again, he regained courage and went back to his gas station worked again, and later on, he opened a restaurant and started serving fried chicken, which quickly became popular.

People started coming from far away places. Again, a big failure ended up, the world wars, which killed his business, which was established. After seeing all the failures, he became almost 55 years old but never gave up. From restaurants to serving people, but he failed. Finally, he decided to sell his recipe to all the restaurants and started taking commissions if they liked it. At the age of 65, his name started sparking across the USA due to his recipe, and finally, one of the entrepreneurs bought his recipe, and it still works under Harland Sander's name but is owned by others. Today, KFC is one of the biggest brands with 31,980 outlets and a presence in 150 countries with $8.2 billion net worth.

After seeing his story, failures are stepping stones, from the beginning of his journey to the end of it. He failed in almost everything and destiny gave him an opportunity at the age of 65 years. No matter what happens, life has to move ahead by crossing all the obstacles and hindrances of life. To achieve greatness, one has to deal with problems all the time, with obstacles coming from pain, nature and self. Moving forward makes you a great person one day.
