Elon Musk said SpaceX has secured $40 billion in debt financing to purchase advanced AI chips, highlighting the massive cost of expanding computing infrastructure. He attributed the financing to SpaceX’s investment-grade credit status and revenue from Starlink and rocket launches. Musk also warned that specialised AI cloud providers, known as “neoclouds,” could face major consolidation and failures as lenders become more cautious about businesses heavily dependent on AI data centres.
