The CBI has extradited Sourabh Chandrakar, promoter of the Mahadev online betting syndicate, from Oman to India. He is scheduled to be produced before a special CBI court in Raipur on November 2. Investigators allege that the betting network operated through franchise-based panels, routed money through mule bank accounts and hawala channels, and used part of its proceeds to pay protection money to public servants. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has said the investigation may reveal further details about the alleged payments and those involved.
