South Korean chipmaker SK hynix has established a US-based artificial intelligence investment arm, Hyaico Corp., with a planned investment capacity of up to USD 10 billion to expand its presence in the global AI industry. SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won will lead the board, while SK hynix President Song Hyun-jong will serve as CEO. The new entity will invest in US AI companies and infrastructure projects, including AI factories, strengthening the group's position beyond memory chips.
