During World War 1 and 2, the British and Russia gave them orders for military personnel to have bikes. That's how the sales have increased and it became a huge success. As time passed, as we know, everything has an expiry date. Due to its weight and constant repairs, sales dropped. In India, the Eicher brand acquired and eventually named it Royal Enfield.
In India, few individuals buy vehicles initially, and they are used by police and military officers. Sales of bikes and new brands coming into the market have drastically lowered the value of the bike. As it became outdated.
The Eicher company had other successful companies and businesses running successfully. They have decided to close these two-wheeler brands which were popular at one time.
