The PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana is India’s flagship rooftop solar initiative, with an outlay of ₹75,021 crore. Aiming to expand clean-energy access, the scheme helps households install rooftop solar systems, generate their own electricity and reduce monthly power bills. With a target of 60 lakh households, it also supports India’s broader renewable-energy and energy-transition goals.
