Rahul: I need a job but I dont have any skills
Suraj: ok dont worry, the government is starting PM Setu.
Rahul: What is it ?
Suraj: To build 1000 Industrial Training Institutions worth 60,000 crore to provide the right industrial-based skills.
Due to the modern changing world and as the population increased.
Creating employment and skilled personnel is important and requires changes in structures and systems.
Industrial Training institutes have created hundreds of mechanics, plumbers and skilled personnel which are necessary for industries. It is basically to help employment generation in various sectors based on industrial needs.
The skills which many possess are not industry-based, and do not create jobs. So the government wants to create jobs based on industrial needs only.
The government of India has launched the PM Setu policy.
* It is to create 1000 ITI’s (Industrial training institutes) across the nation.
* With a budget allocation of 60,000 crores in 5 years, it would create 20 lakh jobs indirectly and directly.
* It would focus on real jobs based only on industry requirements and introduce industry leaders to the training curriculum.
* PM-SETU (Pradhan Mantri Skilling and Employability Transformation through Upgraded ITIs) plans to launch in 5 circuits: Kanpur, Ludhiana, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bhubaneswar.
* The government already plans for 1200 labs in schools and colleges across India.
* Students who are in 10th class can join these institutes or industrial working personnel can join.
