Prime Minister Modi urged people to

-Bring back the work from home culture
-Save petrol and diesel
-Avoid unnecessary foreign trips and destination weddings
-Stop importing foreign products
The ongoing conflict between the US and Iran has created major obstacles in the world. It has created a blockade between nations importing oil from other nations. As India imports almost 85% of crude oil from other nations. Energy security and fuel conservation needs a good approach, as crude oil prices were hiked up to $105 a barrel. It is surely a concern for India.
An ongoing statement in his public meeting, urging people to be responsible for the consumption of resources.
The major reasons for the oil crisis are
*Energy security and fuel consumption as prices got hiked, India needs changes and alternatives for energy supply. The imports would create dependency on other nations, which would further diminish our economy.
* Our national consumption of energy needs to be reduced. By encouraging people to use public transport more rather than independent approach. The fuel reduction from individuals would enhance the conservation procedures.
* 85% of crude oil imports need to be stopped and production of energy has to be given a push. If the world decides to stop giving energy to India. Overnight there is a chance for an energy crisis and nation wide protest and lockdowns. The supply chain disruptions where India needed to work, when the strait of Hormuz conflict led to an entire stoppage of goods and energy. The amount of expenses which we are spending right now is twice the actual price.
* To simplify the procedures, the work from home culture should be brought back across India for fuel and energy reduction. It would help digital growth and reduction of consumption simultaneously. The situation needs to take a serious note and further not to escalate a major crisis ahead. It needs strict public engagement with responsibility towards the nation.
Save fuel and Save India.
