Paper Leak & Pain: A 15,000 crore economic loss to the nation.

Paper Leak & Pain: A 15,000 crore economic loss to the nation.

I woke up in the morning with a bit of heavy heart and anxiety. It was my exam day, which I had been preparing for the past 6 months. I invested my time, energy and family resources. Suddenly I saw the news, the media platforms debating over the paper leak and people protesting against the government.
Just before the exam, a few mafias, corrupt, incapable and gamblers started trading over exam papers. 5 lakhs, 10 lakhs, 15 lakhs that's the price of a 1 single question paper. WhatsApp and telegram are the major platforms for circulation of paper, as per the government. This situation looks tough and unimaginable.

A few questions in every student's mind.
* Why is the government not able to conduct the exam properly ?
* Why there are frequent paper leaks ?
* Don't they understand the students' pain ?

* How much time and energy are we investing ?

These are a few questions which everyone must go through. Did you ever think of how much money we have wasted on this petty exam leak?

To conduct an exam, the government spends almost 50 to 150 crore rupees. From papers, examination center, biometric, security, transportation and many more aspects. Whenever a paper gets leaked, it happens mostly in state examinations as the loopholes are more and lacks stringent procedures. But when the exam paper leaks, to control the damage and for re-exam procedures. The government spends almost 1000 crores on court cases, investigation and re-examination.

Another big role of digital tools is being halted for a few weeks before exams or ban on communication platforms like telegram and other applications. It would cost around 2000 crore approximately or sometimes even more. On average, 10 to 12 exam paper leaks happen across India. The system and government procedure have to take strict and stringent action against the culprits, as they are overall creating hindrances to the future careers of students and big economic loss of 15,000 crore to 20,000 crore. From governments spending money to student preparation and investment. When you consider everything, it is one of the biggest losses to our nation.
