India's largest greenfield airport, Noida International Airport (Jewar), begins commercial operations today. Once fully expanded, the project is expected to become one of Asia's largest aviation hubs. 

• Built at a cost of over ₹11,000 crore.

• Phase 1 can handle 1.2 crore passengers annually.

• Features a 3.9-km-long runway

• IndiGo plans connections to 16 destinations.

• Expected to ease congestion at Delhi Airport.

• Full development targets 7 crore passengers annually.
