Indus Towers has deployed solar power across 50,000 telecom sites in India, with an installed capacity of approximately 300 MW, as it looks to reduce energy costs, diesel dependence and carbon emissions. The company aims to double its solar-powered sites to 1 lakh by FY2029. Its initiative is estimated to reduce carbon emissions by around 4.2 lakh tonnes annually, while digital monitoring systems are helping improve energy management and network efficiency.
