The Indian Army is set to procure 300 additional K9 Vajra-T self-propelled artillery guns in a deal worth approximately ₹23,000 crore. The acquisition aims to enhance the Army’s firepower, mobility, and long-range strike capabilities. The K9 Vajra, adapted for Indian conditions, has already proven effective in various operational environments and border deployments.
