Weak demand at recent government securities auctions has pushed Indian Treasury bill yields to their highest levels in more than a year, according to an ICICI Bank report. The report noted that the 10-year government bond yield is expected to trade in the 7.30%–7.45% range in the near term. Elevated government borrowing, tighter banking liquidity and investor concerns over inflation are contributing to pressure on the debt market.
