India plans to expand its aviation infrastructure to 400 airports by 2047 as air travel demand continues to outpace airline capacity. Civil Aviation Minister K. Ram Mohan Naidu said the government is targeting 130 crore annual passengers by 2047. India currently has 166 airports, requiring substantial expansion to strengthen connectivity and accommodate the country's growing aviation demand nationwide.
