India has secured $11–12 billion in semiconductor investment commitments under the Semicon India Programme 2.0, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said. The commitments reflect growing investor interest in India’s semiconductor ecosystem and efforts to strengthen domestic chip manufacturing and related capabilities. The government is targeting increased semiconductor production, technology development and greater integration into global electronics supply chains.
