India’s Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with New Zealand is aimed at building a deeper economic partnership beyond simply expanding market access, Commerce Secretary Rajesh Agrawal said. The agreement is expected to strengthen bilateral trade, encourage investment and create opportunities for businesses in both countries. It also seeks to improve cooperation across sectors and support long-term economic ties. The pact is part of India’s broader efforts to expand global trade relationships and open new opportunities for Indian exporters.
