India’s trade agreement with Chile is nearing conclusion, while negotiations with Canada are progressing steadily, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said on October 27. Speaking during his visit to the Netherlands, Goyal said India is also exploring trade arrangements with Mexico and the Southern African Customs Union. The proposed agreements aim to expand market access for Indian exporters, support labour-intensive industries and create opportunities for businesses, farmers and MSMEs.
