Have you heard this name occasionally on television ?

Yes, it is one of of the best companies which has been in the construction field since independence. The story begins in Denmark's cement factory as Toubro was working. He learned all the skills, experience and was  further sent to India for handling cement and construction work. Eventually he met his school friend Larsen, where they both worked together for years. The bond became exceptional and strong, but due to partition in India, all Britishers were about to leave. They had even decided to leave India, but they suddenly received information regarding Hitler’s Nazi occupation on Denmark. This news made them remain in the same place, as they were both experts in their field.

Eventually, both the friends started their own company called Larsen & Toubro. It gave them vast opportunities as the newly independent nation had a high scope of construction.

The business started with 1 table and a chair. They had no hope, but all they had was willpower and courage to start. Soon world war broke out, thousands of soldiers died, and war ships were also damaged.

Finally, they received a damaged war ship as their first order. This became the foundation of L&T. After a few days, the TATA group collaborated with L&T for further future operations. From roads to bridges, one by one, L&T became one of the biggest construction companies to have large-scale capable operating systems. From nuclear reactors' technical foundations to DRDO weapons, constructions  and space exploration.

Today it has a net worth of 1,09,290 crores and around 4 lakh employees.
