How NOKIA Got Murdered ?

Nokia, a brand which every other person has used ? It was one of the most resilient mobile phones with a strong body and great quality. It created a monopoly for almost 10 years without any competition from any brands. It became an emotion and most trusted mobiles. Back in time, it was one of the popular brands in the mobile industry. From the USA to European nations, Nokia dominated everyone.

They wanted to expand in 3rd world nations and successfully captured 25% of market share in the world. It became the no.1 brand in the world for its authentic services and products. The company was thinking about selling 4 lakh mobiles as a target, but they sold 2 crore feature phones, which was their highest ever sale. These phones were used across the world and another important brand Motorola came close to Nokia, but it couldn't dominate or overtake it.

Such a successful feature phone. Why did it fail as time passed?

The failure
As generation changes, new systems also change with time. As climates keep changing rapidly and in the same pattern how quickly villages turn into towns and eventually becoming urban megacities. In exactly the same way, Nokia’s craze started slowing down with time. The new trends have begun and created their own ecosystem. The introduction of Android and Apple, which gave a new source of happiness and fulfilled the needs better than feature phones. The markets of the USA and Europe started switching quickly, but Asian countries still had Nokia.

Android and Apple have made their place in the markets and increased it aggressively. Nokia knew it was going behind others, but they never collaborated with Android, they wanted to be unique and different from the rest of the world. The smartphones and new applications improved even more, but Nokia still holds the same old patterns. On one side, Android occupied the space and on the other side, China entered the market with cheap and new touch-based phones. Finally, Nokia released and upgraded its new phones and tech-based systems.

Nokia upgraded but never wanted to merge with Android, but instead they merged with Microsoft. This mistake cost Nokia such a big failure, it had to vanish from the world. Android and Apple had dependent systems which worked closely with everyone, but Nokia, on the other hand, wanted to be independent and different from other brands, which has deeply impacted the Nokia mobile industry. The competition and the latest trends have made Nokia leave the mobile industry. They tried coming back, but it was tough and critical to change the circumstances again.
