Food Safety and Standards Authority of India has directed food vendors across India to stop using newspapers for wrapping or serving food. The regulator warned that newspaper ink may contain harmful chemicals that can contaminate food and affect health. Vendors have been asked to use safe, food-grade packaging materials to ensure better hygiene and consumer safety.
