Senior advocate Darius J. Khambata has declined reappointment as a trustee of the Sir Dorabji Tata Trust and Sir Ratan Tata Trust, citing his commitment to independence and differences with other trustees on key Tata Group issues. In a letter to Noel Tata, he reiterated his opposition to listing Tata Sons but said the Shapoorji Pallonji Group should be provided liquidity through the sale of some or all of its Tata Sons shares
