Complications Faced by krutrim: A step towards the Indigenous AI of India.

OpenAi, Deepseek, Meta, Gemini.

The US and China are ahead in making effective AI systems. What about India ?

Yes India also has its Krutrim Ai.

Ola’s founder, Bhavesh Agarwal, started an ambitious project of launching Indian-made AI systems. It was effective and received huge applause in the initial stage. Within 1 month, it became India’s first unicorn in Ai and received 50 million dollars in its first funding phase.

India Ai dream is finally being seen by media attention, statements, promotions. Everything was well. We have languages which are diverse and Ai can understand, translate and think all those 22 languages within seconds was something interesting. During the Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, almost every individual used Kumbh sah Ai yak to navigate and gain cultural insights through real world experience.

Krutrim also wanted to have its own cloud system like AWS, Azure, Google cloud platform server. It started creating cloud infrastructure and creating chips like Intel. Launched kruti app.

This ambitious project gained praise but the work in multiple sectors at one time gained severe pressure on the company.

Why is it struggling today?

*Multiple tasks and launching new initiatives at the same time.
*Hiring of employees beyond its capacity.
* Ambition was great but execution failed.
* The initial funding gave a boost, but further nobody funded the company.
* Selling Ola Shares to Krutrim was a risky move.
* Trust in the Ola e vehicles sector was in trouble and the share price was getting to its low.
* A small Twitter tweet by Kunal Kamra against the Ola founder had made things even more ugly in public spaces.
* Krutrim had to lay off employees in the chips sector.

The ambitious project and India's Dream Ai project has hurdles and hindrances to achieve, but india should have its own indigenous and self-reliant projects by competing with globally.
