The CGHS policy is giving health care benefits to the employees who are working in the government sector. The financial assistance which is provided for every other individual on health, would be deducted from their salary and for retired employees they would pay a large amount for lifetime validity based on grade pay and position they held. A membership card will be provided with date and validity, you have to visit the nearest or your mentioned branch for health check up. 

 

There are almost 2 crore central government employees and state governments around 1.2 crore. The annual fund of the government for this scheme is 2000 crore rupees. Almost 60% of the fund is contributed towards medicines for the diseases faced by people. The CGHS policy is right now working effectively in 80 cities. As per data almost 3,000 rupees are spent by one individual on health per year in India. What about bigger health issues?

 

The governments intiate all the medicines and facilities given under unani, Ayurveda, yoga & homeopathy, sidha. Till now 43 lakh beneficiaries have used this facility. In an emergency situation, even if you visit private hospitals you would be given relaxations and subsidies or reimbursement. The governments ensures, all the facilities are provided to government employees as they go through abundance of stress, pressure and long hours of sitting and work. The families have benefits and the person working as an employee goes through all the suffering and rigid life.
