Nirmala Sitharaman has introduced the Bankers Book Bill in the Lok Sabha to replace the 125-year-old law related to bank records in courts. The new bill allows electronic and digital bank records to be accepted as evidence. It also aims to reduce the need for bank officials to appear regularly in court, making the legal process faster and easier.
