While Azim Premji was studying engineering in the USA.


He gets a sudden call from his mother saying your father is sick. You need to come back and take care of the family business. Dropping out of college and he took back father’s business on his shoulders.


He initially felt so many problems as the factory was old and was working in losses.  He quickly took charge, handled the damage and employee problems and made it a profitable business.


Hindrances were always a part of his journey. Eventually as time passed  the government of India launched an Emergency. He adapted and launched Hydraulic press business and eventually as the modern era started and computer revolution was about to begin, he started mini computer making along with US based companies.


After which he never turned back from it. Most of the company's profits and projects were coming from western nations with the percentage of 90%.  They have a presence in 50 countries with 2,40,000 employees working across the globe. Wipro’s net worth is worth $24 billion.

 

His key business initiatives were following an ethical based system in the organisation with strict rules and regulation adhering to values and principles.
