Anthropic has used its AI model Claude to generate around 35,000 antibody designs in about a month for a potential food-allergy treatment, in collaboration with biotech firm Divergence Labs. Early laboratory tests identified antibody designs that could bind to or dislodge IgE, a molecule involved in allergic reactions. Three designs reportedly dislodged IgE more effectively than a standard medication. The research remains at an early stage, and further testing is needed before any potential treatment could reach patients.
