India and Germany are set to sign an estimated $8 billion agreement to jointly build six advanced submarines in India under Project-75(I). The proposed collaboration is expected to strengthen India’s domestic defence manufacturing capabilities and expand technological cooperation between the two countries. The submarines would be built in India with German technological support, supporting the country’s broader maritime security and self-reliance goals.
