Ten Indian defence companies have submitted bids for the Indian Air Force’s ₹30,000 crore UAV programme, aimed at strengthening the country’s surveillance and combat drone capabilities. The project seeks indigenous development and manufacturing of advanced unmanned aerial vehicles under the “Make in India” initiative, boosting self-reliance in defence technology and enhancing national security preparedness.
