An RTI reply shows that over 1.27 crore bedroll items worth ₹104.5 crore have been stolen from Indian Railways' AC coaches since 2022. The missing items include 41.13 lakh bedsheets, 46.54 lakh towels, 12.95 lakh blankets, 23.59 lakh pillow covers, and 2.76 lakh pillows. The losses have caused a huge financial burden on the Railways.
