India is on track to achieve USD 1 trillion in total exports in FY2026-27 if the current pace of growth continues, Chief Economic Adviser (CEA) V. Anantha Nageswaran has said. The target covers both merchandise and services exports. India recorded total exports of approximately USD 863 billion in FY2025-26. The export push comes amid global trade uncertainties, with wider market access through free trade agreements and growing participation by Indian businesses expected to support the target.
