India and Liechtenstein are considering a proposed Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement (DTAA) to improve investment certainty, facilitate business exchanges and strengthen cooperation on tax matters. The proposal follows Liechtenstein’s submission of a draft agreement, which India will examine through the Finance Ministry. The discussions come under the India-EFTA Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement, which aims to mobilise USD 100 billion in investment in India over 15 years and support one million direct jobs across EFTA countries.
